Despite the fact that global interest in large exhibitions and trade shows across various industries is generally stagnating or even declining, IWA continues to maintain its high standards. Since this is a trade show aimed at industry professionals, the booths are not frequented by “souvenir hunters,” but mostly by visitors who are interested in knives. At the Mikova booth, there was great interest in military and tactical knives.
The tactical bayonet for the BREN 2 assault rifle—which we manufacture under license for ColtCZ Group to the satisfaction of their customers—was naturally one of the main attractions. But the Storm and Repetitor knives from the War Veteran Project, as well as the great classic—the UTON—were no less popular.
Mikov also manufactures military knives designed for specific units. Over the past year, we’ve delivered new knife models such as the Javelin, BOP, Slovan, Styx, and others. In collaboration with soldiers, we’re also developing new products, some of which will be adapted for the civilian market.
This year’s new product—the Rescue knife—is also aimed at a similar customer base. This new generation of rescue knives can be opened while wearing work gloves and is equipped with an LED light.
Retailers, however, have a slightly different perspective on Mikov’s product line, seeing the greatest commercial potential in the Kostka and Predator knives. Mikov manufactures the Predator in a special version for the German market, where the blade length of automatic knives is limited to 80 mm. KH Security is the distributor of these knives for the German market.
And the elegant Kostka? A visitor summed up customer sentiment by laconically describing the knife as a “must-have.”
