Overview of knives in the War Veteran project:

• GOLAK KNIFE: Named after a cone-shaped hill—a landmark in the sector assigned to Czech soldiers. It commemorates the participation of our soldiers in the peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, which was tasked with stabilizing the situation there. Its design was partly inspired by the vz. 85 assault knife and its dagger-like blade, which was also used by soldiers on missions in the Balkans. The GOLAK integral dagger was thus created by combining its shape with the curves of Balkan daggers.
• STORM KNIFE: It commemorates Operation Desert Storm in 1991, in which the then-Czechoslovak Army participated as its first foreign mission. Its design is therefore based on a combination of the UTON knife, which soldiers carried at the time, and the shapes of stealth aircraft technology, which at that time represented a breakthrough in the conduct of air warfare.
• REPETITOR KNIFE: It commemorates the participation of Czech soldiers in the Balkans in the UNPROFOR, UNCRO, IFOR, and SFOR missions beginning in 1992. Named after the T 23 – Repetitor checkpoint, as proposed by Chief of the General Staff Aleš Opata, where two Czech soldiers, Luděk Zeman and Petr Valeš, were killed in August 1995 while carrying out their duties as part of the UNPROFOR mission.
• FOXTROT KNIFE: Based on a knife originally intended for Czech soldiers deployed in Afghanistan. It was designed according to the requirements of units operating under the most demanding combat conditions.
• M-1917 OFFICER’S KNIFE: A replica of Gen. Bílý’s M-1917 officer’s version. We have endeavored to craft a faithful replica of the M-1917 officer’s knife in a way that mostauthentically captures the craftsmanship of the knife makers who produced it, while also evoking the sense of a symbol that distinguished a commander from a soldier.
