The limited edition UTON knife with a red handle raised 100,000 crowns for the Czech Red Cross, which we are sending immediately. The recent floods have highlighted the need for emergency preparedness, and the Czech Red Cross will be able to use these funds immediately to strengthen its response capabilities.
We were very pleased by your willingness to help. It was clear from the start that, since Mikov is releasing only 100 units for sale, it would be impossible to reach every customer. In any case, however, we owe a huge thank you to those who were unable to purchase one as well.
Mikov’s collaboration with the Czech Red Cross does not end with this limited edition. Blood donors willsoon receivethese special “Rybičky” figurines when they are awarded the Czech Red Cross Gold Cross, 1st Class, for 160 donations, and the “Gift of Blood—Gift of Life” plaque for 250 donations. These “Little Fish” will be unique collector’s items. Those who receive them will not need money, but rather a great deal of patience and, above all, a willingness to help others.
The Czech Red Cross ,together with the Military Solidarity Fund (War Veteran Project), is among the partners from the nonprofit sector whose long-term support Mikov finds meaningful, and with whom it plans further joint projects.
