Effective April 1, 2026, we have adjusted the prices of our premium models — the investment gold “Rybičky” and the silver “Rybičky.” We know that any price increase naturally raises questions. That is why we want to be completely transparent with our customers and explain why, after many years, we had to take this unavoidable step. But first, we have an important assurance: the prices of all our other knives remain exactly the same.
The reason for the price adjustment on these two specific models is solely the sharp rise in the prices of precious metals on global markets. This sustained increase in the value of gold and silver has been occurring since 2025. As manufacturers whose products are based on real precious metals of guaranteed purity, we are directly dependent on their market value.
You may be wondering why we are raising prices only now, when precious metal prices have been rising for quite some time. The answer is simple: we were able to keep our original prices at the same level for many years only because we had been drawing on old stockpiles of material procured under earlier, much more favorable terms.
To be completely specific, let’s look at the example of the gold investment fish:
- Period of stability: From 2018 through March 2026, we managed to keep its price within the range of 200,000 to 250,000 CZK.
- Current situation: We now have to purchasenew material at current, significantly higher market prices. For this reason, the price of the gold fish has risen to 290,000 CZK as of April.
We are fully aware that the purchase prices of these exclusive collector’s and investment models are high. That is precisely why we have made every effort to keep them available to you under the original terms for as long as possible.
We only decided to raise the retail prices when it became absolutely unavoidable from the perspective of production costs. While reducing the proportion or quality of precious metals might have been a solution, compromising on the purity of the materials is simply out of the question for us. Both the gold and silver fish must remain full-fledged investment jewelry.
