The Czech Consumers' Association has granted Mikov a license to use the “ŽIVOTNOST PLUS” quality mark, which Mikov may use for its cutlery products.
The ŽIVOTNOST PLUS mark is awarded to products for which the manufacturer declares a lifespan that meets consumers’ realistic expectations.
Mikov received this mark because it provides a seven-year warranty on its knives as standard, which is five years longer than required by law.
Product lifespan is a timely topic that, in addition to customer satisfaction, also touches on ecology and waste management. This is one of the reasons why the European Parliament is currently addressing this issue.
The company is deeply committed to ecology and environmental protection. In 2015, for example, it refused to use even legally imported ivory in its products and called on other Czech manufacturers who work with ivory to take a similar step.
Mikov is a traditional Czech manufacturer of cutlery and office supplies. Among its best-known knives are the Rybička, the Predator switchblade, and the Fixir hunting knife. It supplies office supplies to both the Czech and international markets under the RON brand.
