Anyone who comes to the Slovanský dům restaurant in Mikulášovice on Tuesday, December 19, at 6 p.m. for an event called “Christmas Carp Carving” can learn how to carve a carp.
During the evening, professional chefs will not only explain the principles of properly filleting this traditional Christmas fish, but they will also demonstrate the process hands-on and then use the filleted carp to cook a traditional Christmas fish soup.
The event, which will also feature live music, is jointly organized by the town of Mikulášovice and the Museum of Knife-Making Traditions, with support from the Mikov knife company.
