The knife manufacturer Mikov has become a partner of the “Zoological Olympiad,” a competition for middle school students and students in the corresponding grades at high schools, which was announced in February by the Děčín Zoo.
“We are pleased to support an event that encourages young people to spend time in nature and pursue their education,” said company director Karel Ježek. “Moreover, the knives they will receive from us for their achievements will be very practical tools for these young naturalists.”
The Zoology Olympiad will consist of three rounds: the first will conclude by the end of March, the second round will take place in April, and the Olympiad will culminate on May 29 at the Děčín Zoo. For more information about the Olympiad, visitwww.zoodecin.cz.
Mikov is the traditional and largest Czech manufacturer of cutlery, office supplies, and industrial fasteners. Supporting activities related to nature conservation and education is one of the company’s priorities.
