At the end of January, Mikov showcased office products from its private label RON, as well as other traditional company products—including, in particular, cutlery—in a 30-square-meter booth in the main hall of the Paperworld trade fair in Frankfurt am Main.
“We were pleasantly surprised by the great interest shown by retailers from literally every continent,” said Mikov’s export manager, Lukáš Benko. “A number of concrete contracts were signed here with both national and international distributors who were interested not only in our office supplies but also in our other products.”
Participation in major international trade fairs—of which Paperworld is undoubtedly one—is in line with Mikov’s active export policy. Thanks to this policy, the company is not only returning to traditional markets but also securing new business opportunities, particularly in Western Europe and the British Isles.
Mikov is a traditional Czech manufacturer of knives and office equipment. With this year’s acquisition of Narex Bystřice, it has expanded its portfolio to include hand tools, screwdrivers, and woodworking tools.
Paperworld, one of the world’s largest trade fairs for office supplies, welcomed 1,700 exhibitors from 64 countries in 2019. Their exhibits were viewed by over 33,000 visitors.
