When we were developing the Rescue knife, we worked closely with professional firefighters and did our best to tailor it to their needs. That’s why, in particular, the knife was based on the design of the popular Predator switchblade—so it could be opened easily with one hand, even while wearing gloves.
The Rescue, with its yellow handle and distinctive red lettering, has since become a trusted tool for many firefighters, rescue workers, and police officers. There are four variants to choose from. The simplest version features only a special spring-loaded blade for cutting through seat belts or fire hoses; the others are also equipped with a standard blade, tools for cutting and breaking glass, and a universal wrench for opening electrical panels.
Although we initially designed the knife primarily for professionals, experience has shown that the rest of us can find uses for it as well. Most often, of course, in a personal car, where it serves as a quick aid in the event of an accident and the need to extricate people from a wrecked vehicle. But there are, of course, many more possibilities. So far, the most unusual use was when Rescue served as a great tool for cutting floor coverings.
In the more than ten years that Rescue has been on the market, it has undergone a series of expert reviews and tests, all of which it has passed. We appreciate this and are pleased by it. But we consider it even more important when we hear direct feedback from firefighters and rescue workers who have found it effective in practice during actual life-saving operations.
