People usually buy the knives we make because they need them for work, to use in a hobby, or simply to treat themselves. And it is precisely these people who are the target audience for our limited-edition knives—even though, of course, they are still full-fledged knives.
The limited editions we’ve produced in past years are now completely sold out. Only a few remaining pieces of the letter opener—created in 2018 to mark the 100th anniversary of the issuance of the first postage stamp of independent Czechoslovakia—are still available, as well as a few Martfrost kitchen knives.
The fact that all these knives are highly sought-after collector’s items is also evidenced by the prices at which they are currently selling: the Rybička Nespresso sells for up to 5,000 among collectors, while the UTON commemorating the republic’s anniversary sells for about 15,000 crowns. These are the prices roughly one year after sales ended.
As manufacturers, we can guarantee collectors that the knives we produced in these limited editions will never again be released on the market in the same form. For example, the M-1917 military trench knife, similar to the one from the 2009 limited edition, is requested by customers several times a year—but to no avail. We will never replicate our own designs.
Limited-edition Mikov knives from Bohemian Switzerland can therefore also be a sound investment for you, one that will retain its value well into the future.
