Mikov, the largest Czech manufacturer of knives and office equipment, will support domestic tourism in Bohemian Switzerland, which has been severely affected by the coronavirus crisis. Customers who order goods from Mikov’s online store will receive a gift certificate that they can use at partner hotels and restaurants.
“Our company has been inextricably linked to this region for many centuries, and that is why, even though we ourselves are currently dealing with the impacts of quarantine measures, we want to help local tourism businesses get back on their feet,” said Karel Ježek, owner of Mikov.
Anyone who orders goods worth more than 3,000 CZK will receive a gift certificate valid through the end of 2020.
“For example, if you buy a Hunter hunting knife from us, Mikov will pay for a nice lunch for your family or accommodations at one of the local hotels participating in the promotion,” added the company’s sales director, Martin David.
Restaurants and hotels that accept the vouchers will be marked with a “Mikov for Bohemian Switzerland” campaign sticker, and an updated list can be found at www.mikov.cz.
Mikov is a company building on a 300-year tradition of knife-making in Mikulášovice, which is part of the region known as Bohemian Switzerland. The company therefore considers supporting the development of the entire region to be both its responsibility and a moral obligation.
