Before the summer break, trap shooter Adéla Bryndová joined the ranks of athletes whom Mikov systematically supports. This promising athlete, who is only fourteen years old, has been involved in shooting since childhood thanks to a family tradition, and she achieved her first successes this past spring.
“Supporting all kinds of talent from our region of Bohemian Switzerland is one of the company’s priorities. We feel a responsibility to help those who have the potential to achieve something,” said Karel Ježek, owner of Mikov.
Adéla Bryndová is currently participating in national team selection competitions and trains with RSCM coach Robin Daňek. At competitions, she meets Olympic trap champion David Kostelecký and world champion Jiří Lipták, who are a great source of motivation for her.
Adéla’s home shooting range is the Čtverec range in Dolní Poustevna, operated by the Jezevec Poustevna Hunting Association, and where the Dolní Poustevna Grand Prix has been held since 1961—now in its 59th consecutive year.
Mikov is the largest Czech manufacturer of knives and office equipment; since 2019, the hand tool manufacturer Narex Bystřice has also been part of its group. The company is based in Mikulášovice, right in the heart of Bohemian Switzerland.
