August 2020 will go down in the history of the UTON military knife in two ways. First, this month Mikov officially launched the 0008 edition, which is made of N690 steel. And second, Mikov has updated the options for ordering UTON knives.
So what does our current lineup look like? The UTON 0007 series is a knife based on the original military specifications; due to its 420 stainless steel construction, it is best suited for those who need a knife that can be easily sharpened in the field. Conversely, the UTON 0008 will be preferred by users who require high-quality steel with longer-lasting edge retention, although it is more difficult to sharpen. Finally, the carbon steel UTON is blackened; it produces no glare during use, but it is prone to rust, and the blackened layer can become scratched.
So, if you decide which one is right for you, when you click on “UTON Military Knives” in our e-shop , you’ll have the option to choose between two complete sets from the 0007 UTON 362-NG-4/POLICE series , UTON 362-NG-4/ARMY, and also its longer variant, the UTON AZ.
If you’d like to choose your own combination of knife and sheath, you can select from the 0007series made of 420 steel (362-NG) and the 0008 series made of N690 steel (362-BG), or the UTON series made of GR 1070 carbon steel (362-0G). When you click on the knife, the “Related Products” menu will open below it, where you can select a sheath based on your preferences; it comes with accessories (a saw, a sharpener, and a cord). If you happen to lose or damage any accessories, you can, of course, order them separately.
We’re confident that no matter which UTON model you choose, you won’t go wrong.
