Summer vacation has begun. Perhaps you’re planning a trip to Bohemian Switzerland and intend to visit Mikulášovice as well. We look forward to seeing you in town and are confident you won’t be bored during your visit. And it’s not just the stunning natural scenery we have to offer.
In addition to the great swimming pool, the beautiful Church of St. Nicholas (next to whose wall you’ll find the grave of Ignaz Rösler, the founder of the local cutlery industry), and the Tanečnice observation tower, you definitely shouldn’t miss our museum. To make sure you don’t miss it, we’ve placed directional signs right on the outskirts of town.
The Museum of Knife-Making Traditions itself is located right in the center of town—in the Municipal Information Center. It is open every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., including weekends. There, you can view nearly 2,500 exhibits, primarily historical knives produced here over three centuries of industrial knife-making. But that’s not all—we’ve also prepared displays of office equipment, whose manufacturing tradition in our region is almost as famous as that of knife production.
A tour of the museum might inspire you to make a purchase at our company store. It’s located in the same building; the store’s phone number is 739 452 734. Here you can purchase (and, of course, first take a good look at, handle, and try out) our complete product range. There’s simply no other store anywhere else that’s as well-stocked with Miková knives.
And if you get hungry during your visit to the museum, we invite you to the Ron Hotel. It’s right next to St. Nicholas Church. Here, too, you’ll find a small display of our products, and perhaps you’ll end up liking it here so much that you’ll take advantage of the hospitality of one of our rooms. It’s best to make a reservation in advance by calling 412 394 154.
So, have you found the right date in your calendar for a trip to Mikulášovice yet?
