These funds were raised as part of the long-term “War Veteran” project.
The goal ofthe “WarVeteran”projectis to combine the commemoration of the heroism of Czech and Czechoslovak soldiers with humanitarian aid for the families of fallen soldiers and for soldiers who have lost their health while performing their duties.
“As part of the project, Mikov is launching a line of knives inspired by some of our army’s significant military missions. For every knife sold, 300 Kč will go to the Military Solidarity Fund,” said Martin David, the company’s sales director.

The REPETITOR knife is named after the T 23 – Repetitor checkpoint, where two Czech soldiers—Luděk Zeman and Petr Valeš—were killed in August 1995 while carrying out their duties as part of the UNPROFOR mission. According to the knife’s designer, Major Roman Hippík, its design is somewhat reminiscent of the famous bayonet for the Model 58 submachine gun.
As part of the War Veteran project, Mikov has already released a limited edition of the M-1917 knife, which was produced based on a model from the estate of war hero Army General Josef Bílý. This was followed by a numbered edition of the STORM knife, inspired by Operation Desert Storm. The REPETITOR is thus the third knife in the project.
The Military Solidarity Fund was founded in 2015 and supports soldiers and their families who, through no fault of their own, find themselves in difficult life situations. Mikov, the largest Czech manufacturer of knives and office equipment—which also owns the hand tool manufacturer Narex Bystřice—has already donated 230,000 crowns to the Military Solidarity Fund through the “War Veteran” project.
“Long-term and systematic support for the Military Solidarity Fund is a priority for Mikov. Above all, however, we consider our long-standing cooperation to be a great honor and privilege,” stated Karel Ježek during the check presentation.
