There’s no question that weapons don’t belong in the hands of children, irresponsible people, and especially criminals. On the other hand, it’s essential that law enforcement agencies—particularly the military and the police—be well-armed. But what about ordinary citizens?
Of course, this comes down to each person’s preferences, but once someone decides to obtain a gun license, they should be able to exercise perfect control over both themselves and their weapon. And that is exactly why we have public shooting ranges. The GUN Centrum shooting range in Hradec Králové is exactly that kind of facility, where absolutely anyone can come and shoot.
It’s a newly opened, modern shooting range that’s unique in the country for its wide range of options and services. Activities include archery, blowguns, live-fire shooting, airsoft, air pistols, laser shooting simulations, and real-life scenario training for law enforcement.... For example, from their shooting station, shooters can see hits on a distant target via a camera and monitor immediately after firing. The facility also includes a large retail store and a lecture hall, making it suitable for corporate conferences as well.
And since our company is a partner of the GUN Center, and you can even purchase knives from our production line in the store, we accepted the invitation and sent a delegation from our sales department to the site, which thoroughly tested the shooting range and its equipment. Although it was impossible to experience everything the shooting range has to offer in just one morning.
Just to name a few things—we shot at both the moving-target and projection ranges with pistols and rifles. And it didn’t matter that some of us had no experience or a firearms license. That’s what the experienced instructors were there for—they taught us the basics of everything we needed to know and gently introduced us to the art of shooting.
