The towns of Mikulášovice and Mikov invite you to the Nožíry Festival

On Saturday, August 6, at 10:00 a.m., the traditional Nožírky Festival will be officially launched at the Mikulášovice swimming pool. Visitors can look forward to a full day of rich cultural and sporting events, which will take place not only at the swimming pool but also at the sports stadium and the Museum of Knife-Making Traditions.

One of the highlights of the festival will be the unveiling of a knife from the “Soccer Legends” collector’s series—this time featuring a portrait of Jan Koller—followed by a soccer match in which the “old guard” of FC Mikulášovice will take on a special team of legends led by international player Jan Berger.

At the soccer stadium, the Czech Army will also present close-quarters combat demonstrations, the Czech Police will showcase their equipment, and members of the Fire and Rescue Service will demonstrate the extraction of a person from a crashed car. Another new product from Mikov—the innovative Rescue knife—will make its debut right in the heat of action.

Knife enthusiasts will surely enjoy the free admission to the knife museum, knife- and axe-throwing demonstrations by European champion Jan Žižka, as well as a sales booth featuring Mikov knives and other professional, sporting, and cultural events.
