The Future Forces Forum is a prestigious event attended by government officials, military leaders, scientists, and experts, who come together to discuss and learn about the security challenges of today’s world faced by NATO and the European Union. The forum also includes the Future Forces Exhibition, where we have the honor of having our own booth in Hall H4 of the Prague-Letňany Exhibition Center from October 17 to 21.
Mikov’s participation is a natural fit, as our customers include the Czech Army, the Czech Police, the Prison Service, and other armed forces and units of the Integrated Rescue System.
That is why our booth will primarily feature the bayonet for the BREN 2 assault rifle, which we manufacture based on an industrial design by Česká Zbrojovka - Colt. This builds on our most widely used product for armed forces, the special UTON assault knife, which is available on the market in a wide range of modifications. It has been in use in military settings since the 1970s to the present day.
Also on display will be faithful replicas of historical First Republic-era bladed weapons, specifically the vz. 24/2 dress saber, a commemorative rapier, the 1932-model customs service dagger (LEV version), and the vz. 27 aviation dagger. These weapons are prized by collectors, and the dress sabers also serve as part of the ceremonial general’s uniforms of the Prison Service.
Closely associated with the Czech Republic’s armed forces is the “War Veteran” knife series, which includes military knives thematically linked to the Czech Republic’s various military missions abroad. For every knife sold in this series, Mikov makes a contribution to the Military Solidarity Fund.
Other weapons designed for the military and law enforcement include the Taurus knife for tank crews and the Commandos dagger. The latter is a replica of the legendary FS dagger issued to British paratroopers during World War II. Mikov’s product portfolio also includes custom-made special combat knives designed for members of various military and police units, as well as for the general public.
