What Matters Most to Us

There’s an old saying that you don’t count your hares until after the hunt. That’s why even today, our assessment of the year that’s just coming to a close can’t be complete. But even so, we can already take a brief look back and share with you what this year has brought.

When companies evaluate the past year, they usually look at it in terms of revenue or take stock of which new products they managed to launch. We cannot fail to mention the increase in revenue by tens of percent, the new Repetitor knife, the bayonet for the Bren 2 rifle—which we manufacture for COLT CZ GROUP —and the Czechoslovak Air Force Dagger Model 27. But equally important were the expansion of the Knife-Making Tradition Museum, the advancement of automation at our Narex Bystřice plant, our support for the Military Solidarity Fund, the Knife Festival with record attendance, and there are likely many other achievements as well.

All of this is, of course, significant, but we still do not consider it the most important thing. So what is the most important thing for us? We realized this recently when we were evaluating a small campaign that an external marketing firm had organized for us. Their report included the following statement: “In the analyses we conducted, we found that your customers really like you.”

Yes, you—our customers—are the most important to us. You’re right to hold us to high standards and expect a lot from us, which motivates us to do our best work. But we know that you support us not only because we’re a Czech company, but because you consider our knives to be high-quality, attractive, and useful. The fact that our fan club now has over 8,000 members is proof of that.

Thank you, and we hope you’ll be pleased with the new products we’re preparing for 2023.
