Every knife designer and manufacturer hopes that when they decide to launch a new product, it will be an elegant, interesting, practical, and at the same time original knife. With our new “Kostka” model—which at first glance even looks like a puzzle—we’ve succeeded in doing just that.
We know that the knife’s design is based on a model that has been on the market for years. Nevertheless, its development had to start from scratch, and along the way to the finished Kostka, we had to overcome a whole series of complex technical challenges.
The result is a small knife that fully delivers on everything we expect from a knife of its size. An interesting opening mechanism, high-quality stainless steel, and an unconventional, elegant shape—this combination sparks interest wherever we present the knife. Surprisingly, even in places where we wouldn’t have expected it at all.
When we took the Kostka—perhaps just as a minor curiosity—to the Shot Show 2023 outdoor and military knife exhibition in Las Vegas this past January, interest in it rivaled that for the Predatory, UTON, Repetitor, and Storm models from the War Veteran Project. It could even compete with the bayonet for the BREN2 assault rifle, which we manufacture under license from the Colt CZ Group. Its path to the U.S. market was thus straightforward, short, and successful. Retailers have already placed firm orders, and soon the first American owners—both men and women—will be happily carrying it in their pockets and purses.
The Kostka therefore rightfully belongs to the group of our knives that are also designed as fashion accessories. Right from the start, ithas earned a place of honor among the knives from the Pocket series , the designer Rybičky knives, and the crystal-adorned Stovka knives . And since a strong start in its case certainly doesn’t mean a false start, we wish it a long and successful run on both the Czech and global markets.
