In September 2022, we met with members of the UNPROFOR mission at the Community Center for War Veterans in Prague; they had been directly involved in the shelling that claimed the lives of two Czech soldiers—Sergeant Petr Valeš and Staff Sergeant Luděk Zeman. On that occasion, many ideas were shared, which we are gradually beginning to put into practice.
This Friday, May 5, 2023, we’re traveling with members of the former mission to Croatia to visit the Tango 23 Repetitor observation post, where the tragedy occurred. A ceremonial parade of the unit will take place on site, wreaths will be laid, and the soldiers will also receive special Repetitor knives engraved with their names.
We’ll, of course, keep you updated on the entire trip via our blog and social media, where we’ll post photos, and this year’s trip will be followed by other special events that are sure to delight and inspire you.
Mikov launched the War Veteran project in 2019. In addition to the Repetitor knife, he also introduced two other limited-edition knives: the M-1917 trench knife and the Storm knife. The Military Solidarity Fund has already raised 350 thousand crowns from these sales.
