FOXTROT: The Fifth Knife of the War Veteran Project

21. listopadu 2025

We are proud to introduce the new FOXTROT knife, the fifth model in the War Veteran Project. This project provides long-term support to Czech military veterans, honors their service in foreign missions, and through special limited-edition knives also helps fund assistance for those who need support after returning home. For every knife sold within the project, 300 CZK is donated to support war veterans.
The Foxtrot knife was created as a tribute to the 5 fallen members of the 2nd platoon of the Czech ISAF contingent’s guard company – unit Foxtrot, who gave their lives during their service in Afghanistan on 8 July 2014.
The Foxtrot knife is based on a model originally intended for Czech troops deployed in Afghanistan. It was designed according to the requirements of units that served in the most demanding combat environments. The result combines combat-tested functionality, high durability, premium materials, and precise Czech craftsmanship.

A design carrying the legacy of two elite units
Inspired by the unit knives Cháron (43rd Airborne Battalion, Chrudim) and Gryphon (41st Mechanized Battalion, Žatec), Foxtrot merges key design elements of both. The designer, Major Roman Hippík, also created the original knives for these units.
The blade incorporates the distinctive lower cutting edge of the Gryphon and the raised tip of the Cháron. A new feature is the elongated ricasso with a spine cutout, nearly mirroring the line of the lower edge for two-thirds of its length.
The stacked leather handle rings are compressed and secured by a pommel screw, ensuring long-term structural integrity.
Durability and materials proven in service
The blade is made from premium N690 steel, renowned for its toughness, edge stability, and reliability under harsh conditions.
A DLC coating provides additional protection against wear, abrasion, and environmental factors.
The ergonomic handle is crafted from black leather, offering a secure and comfortable grip even during extended use.
Each knife is supplied with a leather sheath featuring double retention straps, designed for reliable and safe carry in the field.
Every piece tells a story
Each FOXTROT knife is marked with the creator’s logo, the manufacturer, a unique serial number, and the year of production.
Specific serial numbers cannot be reserved.
Beyond being a functional tool, the Foxtrot stands as a symbolic reminder of the courage and sacrifice of the soldiers whose legacy it honors.
