How was this year's IWA? Predator, tactical knives and Cube dominated

Mike's stand at the 50th anniversary IWA show in Nuremberg was traditionally in hall number 5. And since the overall evaluation of the exhibition will certainly be the subject of articles in specialized magazines, we will look back at it from the perspective of the exhibitor.

Despite the fact that interest in large exhibitions and trade fairs across the world is stagnating or even declining, IWA still maintains its standard. By being an exhibition aimed at the professional public, the stands are not frequented by "souvenir hunters" but mostly by visitors who are interested in knives. In the case of the guests at the Mikova stand, there was a great interest in military and tactical knives.

Therefore, the tactical bayonet for the BREN 2 assault rifle, which we produce under license for the ColtCZ Group to the satisfaction of our customers, was naturally one of the draws. But the Storm and Repetitor knives from Project War Veteran or the great classic - UTON - were not far behind.

But Mikov also produces military knives designed for specific units. In the last year we have been handing over new types of Javelin, BOP, Slovan, Styx and other knives. In cooperation with the military we are preparing other new products, some of which will be adapted for the civilian market.

This year's novelty - the Rescue knife - is aimed at a similar group of customers. The new generation of the Rescue Knife enables opening in working gloves and is equipped with a light-emitting diode.

A slightly different view of Mikov's production is held by dealers who see the greatest commercial potential in the Kostka and Predator knives. Mikov produces the Predator in a special version for the German market, where the blade length of automatic knives is limited to 80 mm. The distributor of these knives for the German market is KH Security.

And the elegant Kostka? The feelings of the customers were summed up by a visitor who laconically described the knife as a "must have".
