Paperclip

6. prosince 2019

We usually call it a paperclip, but its correct name is "paper clip with haunch". It is an ordinary piece of wire, which we do not even perceive, but without it, all the offices across the world would face serious problems.

Closing several sheets of paper together so that they are not damaged and punctured in a way other than using a "paper clip with haunch" is not even possible. And not to mention that one of their possible uses may be opening a stuck computer CD drive.

Mikov supplies staples of various sizes and colours to the market, but there is one called - a “paper clip with a haunch”.  This, as its name says, is supposed to help us to insert sheets of paper into it better.

All Mikov letter clips (under the Ron brand) are produced by special machines at our plant in Lipová. And production is not at all as trivial as it might seem at first glance. To make one buckle the other, to have the optimal strength and hardness of the material, so that its end is not so sharp that it would destroy the paper - all must be monitored and checked.

We will show you the machines that produce such important and unobtrusive office supplies in the Czech Switzerland next time. And although the production of Predator ejection knives is, of course, more complicated and laborious, we are convinced that the production of paper clips also needs an honest craft.
