Gouge WOOD PREMIUM

The WOOD PREMIUM gouge is an innovative joiner’s chisel with a special blackened blade that is ground to a higher profile for better penetration into deep wood structures. Its unique hollow profile ensures optimal performance for smooth passage through the material, resulting in exceptional cutting performance when mortising and shaping. The ergonomic handle, made of hard and tough hornbeam wood, is highly resistant to heavy blows from a mallet. The stained handle, combined with the brass ferrule and the blackened blade surface, creates this tool’s unique design.

Blade:

• forged from high-alloy Cr-Mn steel,
• heat-treated to 59 HRc,
• fully ground and sharpened,
• blackened surface, ground to the correct height,
• chisels are supplied with a blade guard with a hanger.

Handle:

• ergonomic with a round cross-section,
• made of stained hornbeam wood,
• brass ferrule.

Main uses:

• Hollowing: Thanks to its hollow profile and specially shaped blade, it is ideal for creating rounded hollows, grooves, and finishing internal radii in deep wood structures.
